More Info on Pouto lighthouse - sand & dunes

Colin & Joy Browne with local knowledge from Rodger are taking a trip to the Pouto light house on Sat Sept 5.
The plan is that you would need to get up to Dargaville on Friday (Sept 4) night and stay there somewhere and be ready to head out on the trip about 8am on the Sat morning . Do the trip on Saturday stay in Dargaville Sat Night and then have a leisurely trip home on Sunday.
Any half resonable 4WD that works in 4wd will be fine.
If you can on the way up or back fit in a visit to the Kauri museum at Matakohe I seriously recommend it.
Note this trip coinsides with the hard out old club guys being away at Gwavas so you will be free to experiment and play.
